Bringing home the jungle

Houseplants are back. Where did they go? I have no idea but everyone had them and then they didn’t and now, it seems, the bigger the better.

Whilst I am not one to slavishly follow home decor trends, this butterfly palm hopped into my arms at the garden centre today and now it is (literally) bringing life to a dull corner. My son keeps referring to it as the jungle, my daughter welcomed it with a kiss and my husband didn’t even ask how much it cost so it’s been a pretty big hit in our house so far.

Now I just have to keep it alive.
